TicketWeb Suffers Hackers’ Onslaught, Clients get Phishing E-mails PDF Print E-mail

Consumers using the Internet based ticketing website TicketWeb's service are reported as getting phony electronic mails following hackers who, during the weekend, infiltrated the company's computer systems, acknowledged TicketWeb and which TechWorld published on February 13, 2012.


Essentially addressing TicketWeb customers in general, the fraudulent, phishing e-mail tells its recipients that their present Adobe Acrobat Reader version has expired, so they should revise their software to the latest edition of 2012. Thus, while a web-link, apparently producing the upgrade, is included in the e-mail, it actually takes the users' onto one intermediary site where they're directed to provide their card particulars and other personal information.

The fake electronic mail also states that as everyone is enjoying the Holidays and a fresh year is coming, TicketWeb has decided for releasing the most recent Adobe version of PDF Reader and Writer 2012 now.
