PandaLabs Predicts Cyber-espionage, Privacy Violations and Social Media Assaults for 2012 PDF Print E-mail

Anti-malware laboratory PandaLabs of Panda Security lately declared the top security threats it expects during the New Year (2012). Thus, the company predicts that cyber-espionage, privacy breaches as also attacks against social-networking websites enabled with the growing utilization of tablet and mobile gadgets will prove as origins of heightened online-dangers during the months ahead.


Predictably, according to PandaLabs, cyber-espionage aiming at government agencies and organizations globally will be the greatest threat within national information and corporate security scenarios, including classified or protected information's integrity as other targets. Also, hackers will choose PC-Trojans for attacking these extremely soft targets.

Further, with social-networking sites currently being the top-prize for cyber-criminals so far as garnering personal data is concerned, assaults against them have grown during 2011, with a further increase anticipated in 2012, forecasts PandaLabs.
