Myanmar Occupies First Spot among Countries with Most Malicious Web-Traffic PDF Print E-mail

According to its 'State of the Internet Report ' the vendor for content network servings Akamai reveals that Myanmar, most unexpectedly, is the No.1 generator of malevolent Web-traffic as it makes its debut among the most-indexed sources unleashing malicious Internet-traffic, published InfoSecurity dated August 10, 2011.


The country that since 4-years has been generating malevolent Web-traffic, had for the first instance joined the rankings, observed Akamai. The firm additionally stated that the assaults coming out of Myanmar appeared associated with malicious Web-traffic during February-March 2011 and aimed at port 80.

Presently the country accounts for 13% of the total malicious traffic that Akamai witnessed. Also, being among the top rankings, Myanmar's case is especially astonishing as this not-so-big nation didn't make it to the ten worst-countries producing attack traffic during 2010-end.
