According to the Tochigi Prefectural Police of Japan, cops, on November 1, 2011, arrested a man against an accusation that he possibly transmitted "browser crasher" a PC-virus onto the website server of another individual. The Mainichi Daily News published this on November 2, 2011.
Reportedly, the man is Takashi Tomiyama, aged 44, who's condemned for allegedly transmitting the virus to a certain website-hosting server on August 26, 2011. Consequently, several web-pages could be seen at the same time on the infected computer's monitor screen that disabled the website's online service for conducting chat sessions.
Meanwhile, Japan lately revised its cyber-crime legislations after which the first individual being taken into police custody under the purview of these laws is Tomiyama. Further, the arrest is the first one related to the development and sending out of a PC-worm following the beefing up of the Penal Code during July 2011.
