According to one fresh research that Kaspersky the security company carried out recently, the geographical regions from where spam originated during 2010 has since changed. Actually, whilst Europe and USA led the spam distributing countries during 2010, in 2011, the regions from where the maximum volumes of junk e-mails are being pushed include South America and Asia.
Also, according to the research, the origins of spam campaigns are mostly situated within countries, which hitherto didn't impose so large a threat. Reportedly, on the list of ten most malware-laced spam threatening regions worldwide, the first eight countries belong to South America and Asia.
A pie diagram formed on the basis of the fully finished research reveals that Peru, Brazil, India, Ukraine and Indonesia occupy around 48% of the segmented chart.
