Yet another company has been fined for Anti Spam Violations.

AvTech Direct was fined $3 mln in civil penalties and to pay $375,000 in restitution to the Seattle School District for sending 1,500 junk spam mail, according to The Seattle Times.

The company was sued for sending unsolicited e-mails to employees of schools, hospitals and other nonprofit organizations. Each e-mail constituted a violation of the state Consumer Protection Act.

AvTech has been the subject of many discussions on the Internet, and we do sincerly doubt that the Company will every pay their fine. But we are happy that they are stopped.
