While marking the tenth anniversary survey, German E-mail Security Solutions Provider announced the increase in its volume of spam e-mail. It is supposed to be the most deliberate threat to the IT and web protection in the last ten years, as per the news by liquidweb on December 2, 2011.
As per the survey, a total 35.6% of the replies stated that spam mail increase was the most risky trend in this period, just after phishing, which stood at 33.7%. Botnets, which are the reason behind the 90% worldwide spam volume, occupied the third position with 16.3%.
Further, 28.8% of respondents were worried about the exposure of all confidential company data during the hacker implunge, phishing operation, or specific malware, whereas 25% witnessed the rise in besieged email attacks as an increasing threat, such as spear phishing.
