Concern regarding Children’s Exposure to Malware to be Addressed PDF Print E-mail

A study by Trend Micro shows that 25.6% of children aged 7-16 years have either taken down one computer-virus or inadvertently used web-links that led them onto a porn site. SCMagazine published this dated February 7, 2012.


Indeed, under the auspices of Safer Internet Day, concerned people will reach out to over 4,000 school kids since according to the study more than 25% of the children continue to follow malicious web-links.

Further, it's evident that kids aged 7-9 years are most chanced for doing this when 33% of children from every age-group acknowledged that they had followed web-links pointing to unsuitable things. But, according to the survey, children of higher ages are more chanced with inadvertently taking down malware onto their computers when children aged 14 and 15 years at 47% and 36% respectively admitted having done so.
