Brothers Legally Punished for Executing Spam Campaign PDF Print E-mail

Amir Shah, 30 and brother Osmaan Shah, 27 who's an ex-student of UM (University of Missouri) of Missouri, USA were put under a period of probation in a sentence that followed their involvement within an e-mail spamming campaign countrywide causing over 2,000 college pupils to become victimized, published Columbiatribune.com dated September 16, 2011.


Ordered to remain under house arrest as also halfway house detention for 3 months each, the two brothers were mandated towards surrendering $40,000 of illegally acquired property and cash.

Amir and Osmaan were proved guilty as per the rules of the 2003 CAN-SPAM Act that banned bulk electronic mails when the sender attempted at disguising the messages' source, indicated fake e-mail captions, alternatively accessed other people's PCs without consent.
