Brazilian Trojans Now Attacking Banks in Europe; Kaspersky PDF Print E-mail

Since long, banker Trojans such as SpyEye or ZeuS have been aiming attacks on financial institutions in Europe, whereas similar Trojans originating from Brazil have remained largely confined to Brazil itself. But, as per Fabio Assolini of Kaspersky Lab, the latter Trojans are now widening their targets to countries such as Cape Verde, Spain and Portugal. SoftPedia published this on August 31, 2011.


Assolini states that it has been the nature of Brazilian cyber-criminals to remain extremely active so far as developing and spreading banker Trojans amidst fellow citizens are concerned. Nevertheless, they're currently diverting their assaults outside Brazil and targeting European financial institutions too.

Subsequently, Assolini warns that during the past few months, a number of Trojans were observed as being created in Brazil for attacking European banks particularly those of Portugal and Spain.
