As per a study by Web application security company Armorize Technologies Inc, out of the total 200,000 most popular websites, around 1000 belong to the US and serve malware to innocent users.

Security firm Kaspersky Lab recently revealed that more than 327 Million attempts were made to compromise computers worldwide in the first quarter of 2010. This clearly represents 26.8% increase from the figure reported by the firm in the fourth quarter of 2009.
RSA Security has stated in its latest Online Fraud Report that phishing attacks surged 3% in April 2010 to over 18,000 attacks, and users in UK were the most favorite target who received nearly half of these attacks.
According to the Security Company Symantec's "May 2010 MessageLabs Intelligence Report" issued on May 27, 2010, a cable was put down under the sea near the eastern coast of Africa during July 2009 that resulted in massive amounts of spam originating from the area.
